Marco Rellandini was born in Milan (Italy) in 1939. His landscapes arise from a spontaneous action but are often re-elaborated. At the base of his painting there is an innate vocation for the color. In his compositions doesn’t exist empty space, shapes are never organized and the rules of the prospective are broken. Landscapes, at limit of abstraction, concretize in an expressionist manner.

The informal naturalism of Marco Rellandini arises from the reject of any rational shape. His personal esthetic sense develops itself through the elaboration of natural shapes that by the painting matter elevate to a dimension where the description is influenced by the emotive impact. Rellandini executes his works initially in an instinctive manner and then proceeds to a second phase more reflexive and critical, where the painter takes part to drive his Opera towards the desired expression. His creative inquietude is particularly sensible to the naturalistic values of the Lombard territory where he lives. The green of the fields and of the hills, the wide horizons and the water of the rivers are resumed with brush strikes and matter color. We can see herbs and humid soil and the picture drives us to a context of refined magic, over the limit of the conventional reality. ( Mario Zampedroni)
