Ermes Bellani was born in Milan in 1947 and now lives and works in Montecchio Emilia, Italy. He gradueted at the Supierior School of Art of the Castello Sforzesco of Milan specializing in painting and mosaic with teachers as Felice Minà and Alfredo Mantica. He also studied sculpture at the Academia of Fine Arts of Brera (Milan) with famous masters such as Enrico Manfrini and Alik Cavaliere. Once finished his studies, Bellani worked as teacher in high schools but never left his artistic activity and took part to many exhibitions in public events and Art Galleries. His paintings are collected in private and  public organizations. In 1995, under request of the Town Hall, he executed a monument to the WW II victims. This bronze monument is now erected in the "Giardino della Pace" (Montecchio Emilia). His erotic paintings are now collected in Italy and abroad.
